Sorry, Gary, but you do eat your words. It was close, but Denver won. However,I think that the 49ers have a good controversy over who won, due to the "snow- ball incident" that caused the missed field goal. Since Denver only won by 1 point, that field goal would have won it. Or maybe not. Then Denver would have known that the field goal (the last one they kicked) would not have won it, and focused the entire drive on a touchdown. Who can say now what would have happened. Robert A. If the Chargers are so great, why are they 3:3 in the division and 5:5 overall? A straight .500 is not great. Good, maybe, but that still means that slightly under 50% of the league is better than you are. To me, that is nothing to cheer about. Robert A. Ekblaw P.S. EVERYBODY gets the flu eventually. Football players exhaust themselves during a game, and therefore are more susceptible to viral illnesses. Too, Denver is at a high altitude in the mountains, where cold weather is prominent. Let's face it, in those conditions, you're lucky if you DON'T get sick! RAE
