[net.sport.football] Tie-breaking algorithm ?

ugclemon@sunybcs.UUCP (Robert Clemons) (11/21/85)

Does anyone out there have knowledge of the complete NFL
tie-breaking algorithm. I mean for division titles, wild cards,
ties of varying numbers of teams, etc. Any information would
  be appreciated. Thanks.

This was posted *last* year by ut-sally!roth (Mark Roth). I kept it
around as useful information. SO, here it is again for your perusal. Thanks
again, Mark, if you're still out there.
