[net.sport.football] How The PATS WILL LOOSE

maxg@tekig4.UUCP (Max Guernsey) (01/24/86)

1st Quarter:
Jim McMahon moves the time to the 30 for a field goal
The Bears defense hold the Pats offense to a total of 10 yards.
2nd Quarter
Jim McMahon viciously sacked, and carried off the field
		on a stretcher, unconscious
After punting the ball, Dent snatches another ball away
James this time for a touchdown.
At the half the Pats have a net yards gained of 36, the only
time they cross the fifty is to change quarters.
3rd Quarter
McMahon's stretcher is wheeled back to the sidelines so he can watch
the rest of the game. Late in the third quarter the Pats start
their longest and strongest drive, while Eason continues to take
a beating from the Monsters of the Midway. The drive is stopped
of the Bear 47, and Pats punt to Bears 3.

As Ditka takes out another pack of gum the ref mis-reads the action
for a time out. Ditka confers with McMahon and McMahon responds
with sign language. The McMahon grabs his helmet and limps into
		the game.
Bingo Jim'boy passes for a TD, Clayborn was asleep. Jim goes over
and bumps heads with the lineman WITHOUT his helmet.

The Bears offense is on the field for a total of 4 more plays this
quarter and score twice more, Clayborn is still wondering what
		happened.

3rd Quarter ends: Bears 31 - Pats 0, net yardage for the Pats 53 yards.

4th Quarter
The forth quarter begins with Pats punting to none other than Walter
Payton, who wanted to take the punt just for a joke. And so just
for a joke, he scampers 73 yards for a touchdown. Three Pats are
		injured by Walter's stiff arm.
Perry, Dent, Hampton, & Singletary continue to beat up the Pats, and
the Pats do not cross the fifty again.
With four minutes and 53 seconds left Eason begins to drop to his knee
from the snap from center and tries to run out the clock.

Final score - Bears 47 ( 2 more TDs and a Safety) - Pats 0

Your final score was remarkably close. Congratulations. I would post
the supporting text to net.drama instead of net.sport.foot, though.

I think we have the winning prediction here. It's not right, but it's the
closest. Nice job Max.
