I do. Villanova beat Goergetown (who was considered to be the best) Memphis
ST., North Carolina, Michigan and Dayton to win the distinction of being
the best team in college basketball for 1985. Anyone who followed Villanova
basketball for atleast the last four years knows they always had the
potential to do what they did last year. Just because they realized that
potential in the last 6 games doeasn't mean they weren't the best team. I
mean if they would have started the season the way they ended it I think
they would have been rated #1 in all the poles. Also the way I judge how
good any team in any sport is, is by the way they play when the money is on
e table not the way they go thru their schedule.

p.s. The 3 games against Georgetown; 1 went to OT, 1 was a 2 pt game and the
other was a 10 pt game that Villanova was in until about the 3 min mark.

It's hard to make this point any better than Ed did. I AM suprised
we didn't get some more response from 'Nova, but our net is new.... ANYWAY
I, of course, agree. And what about this year? Well we were supposed to
really stink, at least that's what I figured. But Rollie (coach for life
as fas as I'm concerned), has pulled us out of our early season slump for
an incredible win over the Hoya's and a three-point ST. JOHN'S loss. Not
to shabby (who knows in a couple years...).

                                                -taw

ps. We may have lost to ST JOHN's but it has been said
"Four on T's, Lose by Three, Watch out next time!"
