Like many other groups trying to do VLSI-related work, we need a stock of "off the shelf," well tested and documented circuit cell designs. For example, one of our students would like to build a convolution chip and is need of a full adder and a multiplier. If we (or you!) had both of these circuits and their documentation in a library, implementation of the convolution chip would proceed much faster. As a public service (and always with an ulterior motive in mind) I am willing to collect and organize a cell library for public distribution. Please send public domain designs -- I will not be able to control distribution and I would prefer to avoid any legal hassles. Geometry should be in CIF and should be accompanied with information on delays, connection points, power consumption, etc. A Spice description should suffice as a schematic language until we all have bit-mapped terminals in our offices (and heaven help us) we have a common graphics language!
