         1983 Canadian Conference On Very Large Scale Integration
                              CALL FOR PAPERS

1.  Area of Interest

     The conference is devoted to the technology, design, design  aids  and
application  of VSLI.  Student papers are welcomed and student paper awards
will be presented.  One aim of the conference is to provide an  opportunity
for  students  at  Canadian Universities to present their work in VLSI chip
design, design aids, and technology research.  The conference will be  held
at different Canadian Univerities on a yearly basis.

2.  Special Sessions

     Special sessions and discussions on a cooperative effort  to  develope
portable VLSI design software for use at Canadian Universities is planned.

3.  Submission of Papers

     Authors are invited to submit papers suitable for a 20 minute  presen-
tation.   Student  papers  should  be identified at the time of submission.
Authors must submit by June 17, 1983 ten (10) copies of a 35 word  abstract
and  a  300-500  word  summary  which will be used to select papers for the
conference.  Authors of accepted papers will be notified by July  19,  1983
and  will  be  asked  to  prepare a final four page camera ready version of
their paper, which will be due by Sept. 2, 1983.
