[net.lsi] Looking for IC layout and design software to produce PG tape!

nick@presby.UUCP (Nicholas Puschak) (09/10/83)

We are Drexel University in Phila. PA. and we just installed a VAX 11/780
with both VMS and UNIX operating systems available. We are interested in
public domain IC layout and design software. Interactive graphics for
the design would be nice. I've heard George Goble at Purdue has a IC
CAD system in addition to Stanford and Berkeley. If anyone can direct us
to the right people to talk to to get this software, it would be appreciated.

Something like the old Cal Tech IC layout software or an updated version
would be a good start. We are developing a course called "IC Design"
in the Electrical Engineering Department in which we would like to
generate PG tapes as a final product of the design.

Thanks in Advance
