I was converted (saw the light). After putting up with all the Idiots on Lake Winnipesaukee (who only want to go fast, and that means asking the family for a bigger "play toy"), Sebago is a refreshing pause where one can "run the river" (carefully), or enjoy some para-sailing with Tony @ Naples (<-sp). I am in the process of putting a power transom on the Baja. Not as easy as one might think (remember those thru-the-hull hydralic lines?). Then comes the fun task of selecting the proper prop. ie chopper of cleaver. A friend of mine has already been this route so it will be somewhat easier. One word of caution ** With the power transom up, you run extremely close to the water pickups. Lorin tried a 150 lower unit on his 200 but still had to drill and design a speedometer-type pickup that mounts on the boat. It seems at app. 75-85 mph you start losing water pressure. Cote' has already shown us what that soes to a block @ 7800+ RPM's !!!!!! waiting patiently for winter to pass The Baer (decvax!genradbolton!grkermit!garry)
