About a month ago, my wife and I chartered a Hunter 34 out of Door
County Wisconsin. Unfortunately, no matter what we did, the boat's
head had a definite bad smell. We pumped and flushed the holding tank,
scrubbed the head itself and the piping, but nothing seemed to work.
I am planning to buy a boat in the next year or so and I hope to
avoid this problem, therefore I am asking for some help from you
boat owners out in netland.
Do you own a boat with a type 3 MSD? If so, is there anything
(other than never using it) that you do to avoid odors from the
head or holding tank?
