Boating safety courses for power and sail will be given by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM at the Assabet Valley Vocational School in Marlboro, Mass. Courses last about 12 weeks and are free, although there is a charge for the books. Assabet Voc is on Fitchburg St., just off the Rte 85 exit from I495. The first class will be on September 12th (orientation and sale of books), with the courses formally beginning on Sept. 19th.
