[net.rec.boat] Water Skiers So Cal

With water skiing season about to start here, does anyone have reccomendationsfor a good place to go on the southern Colorado river? I've been going to the
Squaw lake area just north of Yuma Az, but the facilities are pretty minimal
there. We are starting out from San Diego, lake Havasu and north is too far fora weekend trip. I'm thinking about the area around Blythe and south, but I'd
hate to show up late on a friday night and not be able to find a decent place
to camp.
Also, what are the water levels like this year?

That really hurts... The season is about to start.....
I mean, the season ends here cause the damn bodies of water freeze solid.
You can still walk safely on my lake right now... I was in L.A. a month
ago and it was warm and nobody was out cause it was too cold. Oh, well...
If I didn't love to water ski AND snow ski I might move south.
