O'day is sponsoring a rendezvous for all owners in Newport, R.I. this summer. It will be held July 19, 20 & 21 at the Newport Yachting Center (next to the Treadway Inn). The rendezvous will kick off Friday with displays, seminars, freebie distribution (tee shirts, ditty bags, visors, etc.) and will be followed by a party sponsored by Mt. Gay Rum. On Saturday they will have a band and an "open boat" party on the docks so ownercan show off the improvements they've made to their boats. There will also be a race that day followed by a barbeque & dancing Sunday there will be a continental breakfast (bloody Marys of course) and buses to the O'Day factory in Fall River, MA. The cost of the weekend is $75 for a boat & 4 crew members and includes dockage and all activities. The charge is $10 per person if you show up without your boat.
