[net.rec.boat] sailboard purchase

Thanks to all of you for your hints and advice. The Consumer reports
article (July, 1985) was helpful in spite of the fact that it was
aimed at beginner boards, and I was looking for something a step above
that.

I ended up buying a Wayler Chipper. It has a dual position mast-step,
fully retractable daggerboard, and footstraps which are easily added
when I get to the point that I want them. The sail is 5.4m2 pinhead
sail. The deal also included a cartop carrier and mast/sail cover for $645.

The O'Brien Sensation was a top contender too; it came down to getting
a better deal on the Chipper.

I liked the Mistral boards, but wasn't interested in spending that
much money.
