On Wednesday night, April 5, Phyllis Schlafly spoke at the Naval War College in Newport, RI. (Although she seems to have rather dubious credentials, I suppose that a 'War College' (perhaps a contradiction in terms) is as good a place as any for her to speak.) Her speech, which I did not hear, centered mainly around nuclear (nucular, to her) disarmament. In it she referred to those people who support nuclear disarmament as "freezniks." Herewith, some quotes: "The peace movement is a carefully financed lobby that will result in war.... Peace movements only result in peace in peaceful nations...[They] cause aggression in warlike nations..." My question is: Which kind of nation are we? Heather ...decvax!brunix!rayssd!hxe
