#N:hp-pcd:17400015:000:373 hp-pcd!bobm Apr 7 13:05:00 1983 Just one question about immediate (or any other kind) nuclear disarmament - where are all those warheads going to be put when "Us" and "Them" decide to get rid of them? The ocean? Antartica? In space? I admit it's scary to have all those warheads pointed at everyone, but if they don't get us now, they'll get us later. Bob May ...hplabs!hp-pcd!bobm

#R:hp-pcd:17400015:sri-unix:13800002:000:978 sri-unix!bhayes Apr 8 21:06:00 1983 We here in the government have been giving this problem serious consideration for quite some time now, and, I'm quite glad to say, have come up with a solution. This is the first time that this has been made public, and I would just like to say it wouldn't have been possible except that there's no election soon. I am happy to announce the Adopt a Nuke plan. For only sixty thousand dollars, any citizen can help with these pesky things, and have a good time, too. You'll be able to visit your adopted nuke, if it's land based, in its silo once a month. Those of you adopting a submarine based missle will be able to visit whenever your missle is in port. And for the lucky people who get to adopt an air based missle, we'll deliver it to you, and it can live with you all year round. For people on a budget, you can adopt one warhead from a MRV missle. Quite a moneysaver, let me tell you. I have one. Why don't you? Gen. Ashtan Bhayes (ret) Chairman Adopt a Nuke
