I finally know where Reagan got his ideas for putting laser equipped
satellites in space! And I thought he was just simply a bad example of
the 'new right'. 1984 isn't THAT close (on the other hand, with the
new draft stuff coming up perhaps it is ("War is Peace")).
I tend to hold the opinion that an all out nuclear war is pretty
final. At least if we had to live under "those hoodlums" there would
still be SOME hope of improving the situation. But I suppose the
righties think hat just because they might have to live under adverse
conditions for a while, they have the right to extinguish ALL life on
this planet. I don't know about Stalin, but from what I've read he
doesn't seem that nice a guy. However, I have met quite a few Russians
and contrary to popular propaganda, they were pretty decent human
beings.
