[net.politics] SECRET WEAPONS UNCOVERED IN ROMANIA

arlan (05/01/83)

In its never-ceasing struggle against the imperialistic forces of the West,
the government in Bucharest has decided to license the dealy weapons
that many Rumanians have been secreting in their homes and offices.
These personal weapons are known to have been used in all sorts of crimes,
especially the weapons called "Saturday Night Specials."
Untold damage has been done to the supreme state by the untoward
use of these disgusting metal weapons, and all of us
who believe in the sanctity of the state and the mental healt of the
average citizen in the progressive socialists states, must welcome
the bold, progressive, and quite, quite understandable restriction on
these hand weapons. For all of us liberals agree, dangerous weapons that cause
destruction and that upset mental health and promote civil strife,
must be restricted for the good of the state and the best interests of
its citizens.

So, let's have a toast to Bucharest and cheer it on in its fight
to license TYPEWRITERS!

[And some of you guys STILL believe that they are morally symmetrical?

Try to have this net over there.]

For all of us liberals agree, dangerous weapons that cause
destruction and that upset mental health and promote civil strife,
must be restricted for the good of the state and the best interests of
	its citizens.

Arlan, if you're trying to say with this PP that liberal==socialist==leftist==
communist==scum of the earth, cut it out. That sort of distortion is NOT
appreciated.

And some of you guys STILL believe that they are morally symmetrical?

Who? The most people have said is that in terms of foreign policy, the US
has committed acts that aren't that much better than the USSR (note here,
before you fire up your over-used blowtorch, that I am not making any such
claim, I'm just restating what others have said). I know of NOBODY who is
uninformed enough to state that the West is no less repressive than the
Soviet bloc.
