[net.politics] Reagan's facts

Careful, Tim. Reagan may be technically right about some of these things.
For instance, trees DO cause pollution. Ever heard of the Smoky Mountains?
They got their name because of the pollutants emitted by the trees there.
Trees emit carbon monoxide, and I think some other pollutants, but I'm not
sure about the others. Employment I don't know about, but I do know that
millions of jobs were created during the Carter years, in spite of the fact
that (I think) unemployment rose during that period. Reason: new people
entering the workforce.

The facts Reagan cites are often true but used in a misleading way. That's
the worst problem with Reagan's facts.
