Well, for all you dyed in the wool liberals out there this interesting piece
of news. Our favorite FORMER senator from South Dakota, George McGovern,
is considering running for president in 1984. It seems Mr. McGovern
thinks that Ronald Reagan is an 'extremist' with regard to some of his
positions. Now I don't know about you folks, but I can't think of anyone
(except possibly Abbie Hoffman in the late '60s) who is more EXTREME in his
thinking than George McGovern. I mean, this guy makes Alan Cranston look
like a moderate! Well, I for one hope Mr. McGovern decides to run. At
least it will show the voters just how confused and disorganized the
Democrats are.
There's no time like the present to begin thinking about the upcoming
elections.
