FYI: Definitions from "The American Heritage Dictionary of the English
Language" 1975.

gal-li-mau-fry 1. A hash made fom leftovers. 2. A jumble; hodgepodge

chil-i-asm noun. *Theology* The doctrine stating that Christ will reign on
                              earth for 1,000 years.
      -astic adjective

On what basis do you call the New York Times a "hodgepodge of christian
doctrine"? I would have referred to it as a "bastion of establishment
rhetoric" which seems to be quite a different thing.
