FYI: Definitions from "The American Heritage Dictionary of the English
Language" 1975.
gal-li-mau-fry 1. A hash made fom leftovers. 2. A jumble; hodgepodge
chil-i-asm noun. *Theology* The doctrine stating that Christ will reign on
earth for 1,000 years.

On what basis do you call the New York Times a "hodgepodge of christian
doctrine"? I would have referred to it as a "bastion of establishment
rhetoric" which seems to be quite a different thing.
