As one who is refraining from taking any position until more is
known, I am not submitting this for the purpose of causing flames.
I am merely curious.
Some have suggested that having US troops fighting anywhere outside
US borders is wrong. That we have no business in Grenada, or any
where else. While I have no statement on these particular places,
my question is: Is there anyplace that you could see the US being
justified invening in, short of bringing war to our own borders?
While I am not sure that G. or L. are the right places, I personally
feel that I would rather have any fighting that is going to occur
occur elsewhere. While I believe that all human life is precious,
I would rather some other countries civilians died rather than our
own. Maybe it is because I am not as familiar with them. Or maybe
it is because I do not want any fighting in the US itself.
Short of allowing any other country to walk in and occupy us, where
do you suggest we draw the line? At Canada and Mexico? At any
where that there are governments allied with the US? Beyond that
point?
Send me your statements, and I will try to summarize for the net,
or try to give and justify an answer here.
