I have, in ONE WEEK, heard that the CBS Evening News (with Danny), is on one hand guilty of "nationalist ... drumbeating", and on the other, "antagonizing the Administration about a supposed suppression of reports from Grenada". My opinion of this program has increased greatly. If everybody hates you for completely contradictory reasons, you must be doing something well. Dave Decot Note that *both* criticisms accuse the CBS Evening News of putting its own interests ahead of unbiased reporting. The polls show that the majority of the American people support the invasion (yes, invasion), and any news program that portrayed it in a negative light would risk offending viewers. And when CBS News and the president are in conflict over whether to allow reporters in Grenada, it is understandable but regrettable if CBS News gives lots of coverage to its point of view. I don't know whether either of the criticisms are valid since I haven't been watching the CBS Evening News, but reading them certainly does not increase *my* opinion of the program. Kenneth Almquist
