A BRILLIANT DEDUCTION from Laura Creighton: [Your] bottom line is this: WHEN I AM RIGHT I HAVE THE RIGHT TO IMPOSE MY BELIEFS ON OTHERS, AND WHEN I AM NOT I DON'T. Understood at last! However, I don't like the language of "rights". I would rather say it this way: When I am right and it would make people on average better off, I have the *obligation* to impose my beliefs on others; and otherwise I have the obligation not to.
