[net.politics] L. LaRouche, U.S. Labor Party, Fusion Energy Foundation

noel@cubsvax.UUCP (Noel Kropf) (01/26/84)

Ahhh. Lyndon Larouche. Indeed he is a strange one. I know
a bit about him because his cronies tried to disrupt several
public gatherings (anti-nuke weapons programs) that we held
here at Columbia. Some of my information is second hand and
some vague, please correct me if you know better.

Lyndon was a Trotskyite way back before the sixties. Apparently
he decided that "the left" was misguided and not getting anywhere,
so he set about trying to disrupt them. Whether he was (or is)
still a believer in revolution is not totally clear. But his various
front organizations and MANY followers have been known to use
violence at gatherings of their "enemies".

Some of the groups that Lyndon Larouche is associated with (controls?):
 o the U.S. Labor Party
 o the Fusion Energy Foundation
 o Fusion Magazine
o the National Democratic Policy Committee

The U.S. Labor Party has fielded candidates (including LaRouche)
in most presidential elections for the past five(?) years or more.
The Fusion Energy Foundation is often seen in airports and college
campuses insisting that fusion energy will save us, that laser
and atomic weapons will make the world safe for democracy, etc.

LaRouche also pushes various conspiracy theories involving
Kissinger, the IMF, the TriLateral commission, the Rockefellers, etc.
He thinks they are plotting to weaken and destroy the U.S. (?)

These people are very well organized and very scary. I hope that
their past activities get some more publicity. Their latest tactic
appears to be to hide who they really are and try to get in the
back door to power. Their theories and actions are somewhat
paranoid and very power-hungry and militaristic (in my view).
Watch out for these $*!-holes.

I would like to collect accounts of any incidents that people
are aware of where these people disrupted or attempted to
disrupt public meetings, or otherwise accosted people. Send
via mail. Thanks. Noel
