[net.politics] Corporations and govt, right to rebel

peterr@utcsrgv.UUCP (Peter Rowley) (02/18/84)

Stories of corporate collusion with government have been circulating for
some time; e.g. the movie "Missing" strongly suggests that US corporate
interests urged the US government to overthrow Allende in Chile. I
would be very interested to hear of any books on the influence corporate
America has on the US federal government. I'll summarize for the net.

While I'm in an asking mood... I believe there is a provision in the
US Constitution giving the right to citizens to rebel against their
government (or perhaps only against the British government?). If there is
a general right of rebellion, has this right ever been used in a court case?

Thanks very much.
