>I have been advised to see a psychatrist, and told >that I will go to Hell because of my "insane ravings". All of >this venom has come from ONE single person on the net, An excellent illustration of my point! Of three supposed quotes referred to in the above sentence, two of them are completely false. (I hope I'm not being presumptuous in thinking that he's referring to me?) How do you respond to people who simply make up facts? In this case, it's relatively easy, since I have kept a complete record of my correspondence with rabbit!jj. I have not written the phrase "insane ravings" to him or anyone else, and I have never told anyone they were going to hell. If anyone is interested in the conversations rabbit!jj is talking about in his article, I will be happy to supply a complete (and accurate!) transcript of my mail discussion with him. You might find it very illuminating! He has a very strange habit of attributing his own faults to other people. But how do you respond to people who make up facts that you don't have an easy way to check up on? [ The third accusation, alas, is true. I do think he's nuts. I phrased it this way in mail to him: "By the way, if you continue to think that all people who draw different conclusions from facts than you do, or who choose to consider certain facts more relevant than others, are liars or charlatans, then the men in white coats are eventually going to take you away. Judging from your recent letters, I think your condition is rapidly getting to be a certifiable schizophrenic paranoia." ] Phil Polli {ihnp4!}ihuxl!pvp
