[net.politics] The last word on Lyndon Who?

[ this line left intentionally non-blank ]

An amusing story came out of Salem, Oregon (the state
capital) last week. Secretary of State Norma Paulus had
a noisy showdown with a high-ranking member of Lyndon
LaRouche's campaign staff. Why?

After spending some $4000 to examine newspapers nationwide
to determine which candidates were important enough to
include in the Oregon primary, her office found no mention
of Mr. LaRouche anywhere. Hence, Mr. LaRouche will not
be appearing on the ballot here in Oregon.

It appears that Mr. LaRouche's biggest exposure has been
right here on net.politics. So much for my theories about
the political potency of the net.

re: LaRouche not being important

I dunno -- I saw him on national telly a while ago. According to him, it was
his second apperance. Perhaps the people in oregon read different papers?

Ah, through the miracle of international radio, I was able to hear
this man of reason, this font of wisdom, as he spoke on the Larry King show,
~3:00 A.M. Sunday morning. Though I regret having missed most of what he
had to say as I was out at a party, I did hear him espouse a VERY interesting
theory as to how Henry Kissinger used to be 1/2 of a homosexual Soviet spy
unit operating ~1951 (if memory serves me correctly) and that he is, at this
time, a Communist (based on dealings in the Middle East).
Did others hear him as well, or was I more inebriated than I thought,
and this all a bad reaction to the booze?

It must be spring, the saps are running.
