[net.politics] Grenada seeks retribution

       According to a recent A.P. report (Globe & Mail - you know, the
Nation's Newspaper |-); Sat. Mar. 10, 1984), at least some Grenadians are
not entirely thrilled with the "rescue" of their country and 
        "have filed 580 claims seeking about $100 M in damages for loses
caused by the U.S. invasion last year, a Government official said yester-
day.
         Thelma Philips, Grenada's chief social and community development
officer, also said the U.S. estimate of 45 Grenadians killed in the 
invasion probably is much too low. The Grenadian government is compiling
a new estimate, she said.
         U.S. authorities have refused to compensate Grenada for damage 
caused by the actual combat..."

         What, but we rescued them from outside terrorists  |-)
