Personally, I believe that most of them *are* real, in the sense that they are written by "real" people out there in PENTHOUSE-readership land (as opposed to being written by PENTHOUSE staff writers). "Forum" provides these people with the opportunity to write their own porno-book fantasies. I would even be willing to bet that many of the letters purporting to come from women are actually written by men whose fantasies involve be seduced by an aggressive woman (not that *all* are, or that I have any supporting evidence; just a supposition). I think what really gets me about the letters, is that so many of them start off with something like "I used to believe that the `Forum' letters were all staff written until the following incident happened to me last month..." I think that most of them are real howlers. --- jayembee (Jerry Boyajian, DEC Maynard) UUCP: (decvax!decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian) ARPA: (decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian@Shasta)

Being the anti-Greeks that they were, it described a homosexual fraternity initiation ceremony. Pretty lurid stuff, and it got published. Don't believe everything you read.
