[net.politics] POLL TIME AGAIN

wetcw@pyuxa.UUCP (T C Wheeler) (03/28/84)

Now that the quadrenial madness is upon us (election year), we are
begining to become inundated with polls. We get entrance polls,
exit polls, preference polls, telephone polls, ethnic polls, and
flag polls. Well, here is another poll, just to keep the grand
tradition moving along.

I would like to poll the net concerning the following preferences.
Reply by mail, if possible.I will post results.

1. Of the current candidates for the Presidency, whom do you
   prefer?

2. Whom do you prefer who is not now a candidate? (A chance to
   be creative.)

3. Who would you like to see as Vice President?

Now wasn't that short? Now, given the general makeup of the net, this
poll should end up something like those exit polls that the TV networks
are always doing. You know, 56.8% of the voters who belong to a Health
Club and live on the North side of their street and invest in Kolrhabi
futures voted for Senator Fogbound. The poll will only give an indication
of how people on the net are feeling at this time about the current
political scene. Canadians, Mexicans, Swedes, and all other netters
from over the world are invited to participate. After all, they have
an interest in what our government does that might affect their
countries.
Please list your preferences in the order shown above. Leave the
comments, flames, etc. for the paragraphs after your choices. Remember,
this is just a straw poll, so everyone is welcome to participate.

Why do you care? Don't we have enough pollsters these days? If your not
at least doing a random sampling, your poll is about as meaningless as
TV call-in polls.
