There's a publication that those of you who are concerned about the environment might be interested in. It's called the "Sierra Club National News Report" and is a summary of news of legislative, judicial and administrative actions affecting the environment. I've found it to be an invaluable aid in keeping up with changes in environmental policy -- almost every issue contains at least one item of enough interest to cause me to write to one elected official or another. (In our local press we usually hear about environmental legislation only after the fact, if at all.) The "News Report" comes out 30 times a year. It usually runs to about eight typewritten pages per issue, so it's not the sort of voluminous magazine that sits on your coffee table unread for months. Subscriptions can be had at the price of $15 a year at the following address. (I'm not sure, but I suspect that a polite letter to the same place would get you a sample copy for free.)
