???????????????????? In response to the article I wrote the other day about the abolition of human rights by the British Government in Northern Ireland entitled "Americans: Response to David London" I received the following reply from David London: > From uucp Wed Aug 15 08:06 EDT 1984 > >From oddjob!london Wed Aug 15 02:58:11 1984 remote from ihnp4 > Received: by ihnp4.ATT.UUCP; id AA05221; 15 Aug 84 02:58:11 CDT (Wed) > Received: by oddjob.UChicago.UUCP (4.12/4.7) > id AA08683; Wed, 15 Aug 84 02:04:47 cdt > Message-Id: <8408150704.AA08683@oddjob.UChicago.UUCP> > Date: 15 Aug 1984 02:03-CST > From: ihnp4!oddjob!london (David London) > Subject: Fascistic Document > To: ihnp4!mgnetp!burl!clyde!bonnie!jmm > > Joe Mcghee: > Obviously, this is one of the most fascistic documents I have seen. > I normally wouldn't repeat this correspondance on the net, but I am compelled to report it by section 2, paragraph 3 of the Special Powers Act which says: "(3) It shall be the duty of any person who knows, or has good reason for believing, that some other person is acting, has acted, or is about to act, in contravention of any provisions of the regulations to inform the civil authority of the fact, and if he fails to do so he shall be guilty of an offence against the regulations." You see, Dave, your correspondance to me clearly violates the regulations of the Special Powers Act, specifically section 25, paragraph (b) and (c) which state: "25. No person shall by word of mouth OR IN WRITING, or in any newspaper, periodical, book, circular, or other printed publication- (b) spread reports or MAKE STATEMENTS intended or LIKELY TO CAUSE DISAFFECTION TO HIS MAJESTY, or interfere with the success of any police or other force acting for the preservation of peace or maintenance of order in Northern Ireland; or (c) spread reports or MAKE STATEMENTS intended or LIKELY TO PREJUDICE THE RECRUITING OR ENROLMENT OF PERSONS TO SERVE IN ANY POLICE OR OTHER FORCE enrolled or employed for the preservation of the peace or maintenance of order in Northern Ireland, or TO PREJUDICE THE TRAINING, DISCIPLINE, OR ADMINISTRATION OF ANY SUCH FORCE; and NO PERSON SHALL produce any performance on any stage, or exhibit any picture or cinematograph film, or COMMIT ANY ACT WHICH IS intended or LIKELY TO CAUSE ANY DISAFFECTION, INTERFERENCE OR PREJUDICE AS AFORESAID, and if any person contravenes any of the above provisions he shall be guilty of an offence against these regulations." In stating that this is a "fascist document" you have implied that the people in the British government who composed it are fascists and the people in the British police and British Army who enforce this document are fascists. Dave, you're a regular bleedin' terrorist! I'm sure some segment of the British Ministry of Defence is on the net somewhere so they know about you by now. You ought to talk to a lawyer about fighting the extradition order they're going to bring against you on political grounds :-). Meanwhile, I'll go collect the bounty they offer for turning in commies like you :-). bonnie!jmm J. M. McGhee
