Yehoyaqim Martillo-Ajami tells us: > > ...the USA has often used its muscle to prevent Israel from > acting in Israel's bests interests. > -------------------------------------------------- Yehoyaqim certainly is right this time! During the last war (invasion of Lebanon), in a tiny country of just a few million, we saw 1/2 milion Israelis demonstrating for an immediate end to Israel's military aggression. What else but the assurance of endless US military and financial aid kept the war going? An end to US pressure to pursue US foreign policy interests certainly would help the significant peace movement in Israel! It certainly would help Israel begin to act in the bests interests of the Israeli people: mutual recognition and reconciliation with the Palestinean people! Dialogue, not Flames, Andy Berman

What else but the assurance of >endless US military and financial aid kept the war going? In Israel it is always possible to find 1/2 million ignorant, crude, low common and vulgar VusVusim (European Jews) to demonstrate for any mindless leftist goal. If Israel had been assured of US military and financial aid, West Beirut could have been annihilated within a couple of days and Lebanon could have been cleansed of Muslim barbarism within a week afterwards at which point a West-leaning puppet state under Maronite domination could have been set up. The United States refused to go along and stupidly involved itself in the quagmire losing many soldiers and practically handed Lebanon over to Assad's pillaging. >An end to US pressure to pursue US foreign policy interests certainly >would help the significant peace movement in Israel! It certainly >would help Israel begin to act in the bests interests of the Israeli >people: mutual recognition and reconciliation with the Palestinean >people! The most bigoted regressive segment of the population composes the so-called peace movement in Israel. From the North African non-Muslim point of view, the existence of Muslim states anywhere is illegitimate while the domination of Muslim lands by the British and French during the last century was the most progressive development of the last millenium. No longer did non-Muslims have to grovel at the feet (literally) of Muslim overlords, and gradually the British and French were exterminating Muslim culture. Unfortunately, in the aftermath of World War II the British and French could not sustain their empires and once more the Muslim nations lapsed into cruel tyranny. From Mauritania to Idonesia non-Muslims were slaughtered en masse. Israel gives hope to the other non-Muslims subjected to Muslim tyranny that one day they too will be free and this frightens all Muslim political leaders everywhere. Yet Israeli Ashkenazim who know nothing about Judaism, less about Islam, and who know no Arabic continuously drool sympathy for Muslim national movements because their allegiance to the current leftist intellectual movement is stronger than their allegiance to the Jewish people or their sense of humanity. In the case of someone like Berman, probably also his assimilation into American society is disturbed when Israel follows policy unpopular with a large segment of American intellectuals. I have no objection to making peace with the Muslims but first Muslims somewhere must show some tiny shred of evidence of willingness to live on terms of mutal respect and equality with non-Muslims, and Muslim political and religious leaders must concede that Muslims owe non-Muslims for centuries of mistreatment. As for Berman's sympathy slobbering, I do not go around dribbling sympathy for Ukrainians or Poles or Rumanians or Russians who beat on Ashkenazim, your dribbling on behalf of people who beat on Sefardim is insipid to say the least.

Right. Just send the Muslim 2/3 of the population the death camps. I want to know, Joachuim, whether you are spreading this murderous fascist drivel sincerely out of some perversion of Zionism, or whether you're just out to stir up trouble for Israel. Baba
