Some wag here referred to the elections as
"The Evil of Two Lessers," and ultimately
decided that the Republicans look good because
they can reduce to world to a slice of pie.

Hey, this is the eighties-no one wants to hear
about all this complex stuff, deficit and all
what we need is *leadership*...fascism with a
friendly face. *Simple* answers. *Family* values.

We'll bitch about the VAT when it comes. Ditto
our incursions into Central America. We've got
the evil empire on the run, and all we gotta
do is just be *patient* until the recovery
benefits all those minorities (women and the
like).

How relevant is this quote?? You must recall that Walter
Mondale served as vp under a president who held views much
like his own. We have seen a Mondale-type president and
we now have Ronald Reagan thus we have tried them both,
but we still have the "lesser of two evils" dilemma.
