I for one have a very simple basis for my decision in this years
election. While I dissagree strongly with both major candidates, I
am voting for Mondale for one very simple reason. Reagan has, since
he has been in office, sent over 300 men my age to their deaths, for
the sole purpose of keeping up his idea of our national interest. In
Lebanon especially, he had absolutely no good reasons for doing this
other than to give an impression of strength and military presence.
I find this disregard for human lives sickening, and I am amazed
that others haven't found this an important basis for choosing a
candidate.
