myers@uwvax.UUCP pointed out that Bush referred to Ferraro as "Mrs. Ferraro" during the debates, rather than "Congresswoman Ferraro" as she had requested. Someone asked if it was a single slip of the tongue. By my count (through the magic of videotape), Bush called her: Mrs. Ferraro 9 times Ms. Ferraro 1 time Miss Ferraro 1 time Congresswoman Ferraro 0 times So much for the "slip-of-the-tongue" theory. And I would observe that Bush's idea of "civil rights" is really odd--keeping interest rates down is a laudable goal, but it's not civil rights. His responses on civil rights referred exclusively to Blacks--no mention of Hispanics or any other minority group that might be particularly concerned with civil rights attitudes. His fawning over the President was also nauseating. Me? I'm voting Bergland. Evelyn C. Leeper ...ihnp4!hocsj!ecl
