The same "only" has been used to subjugate females, irish, blacks, italians, people without ties, and what have you, for the last several millenia, undoubtedly even preceeding recorded history. I've seen and/or heard of too many instances where the question of supervisional propriety has come up to be comfortable with the word "only". -- Penguins are people, too!
