Well, while I think that the press, the "New Right", the "New Left",
the "Old Left", the <im>"Moral Majority", the "Silent Majority"
and whatever else you want to name all invade individuals' privacy,
and often break what should be absolute bounds of privacy for
strictly manipulative reasons (Studds' affair for ONE example),
I also think that the word "ONLY" in the preceeding paragraph is
offensive.  

The same "only" has been used to subjugate females, irish, blacks,
italians, people without ties, and what have you, for the last
several millenia, undoubtedly even preceeding recorded history.
I've seen and/or heard of too many instances where the
question of supervisional propriety has come up to be comfortable
with the word "only".
