> Goddam 1st world savages and their "civilized" wars!

It's interesting to note that both the World Wars were fought
by the "1st world civilized savages" against other "1st world
	civilized savages".

There have been many wars fought between 3rd world countries but
none as brutal or savage as those fought between 1st world countries.

A technological distinction, I think, not one of moral superiority
or lack of lethal intent. Which 1st-world country used pre-teens in
the front line in WW I or WW II, as Iran did recently? Who murdered
more of their own people, Nazi Germany or Pol Pot's Kampuchea? Pots
and Kettles are all pretty black, it seems to me. When people go mad,
it doesn't matter where they come from, they are still mad.

It's the result of having lots of technology. Technology generally makes
everything easier - even being nasty to other people.
