The Institute of Politics in the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, will be sponsoring a discussion, "Lesbian and Gay Perspectives on the 1984 Elections: Where do we go from here?" on Wednesday, November 28 at 8 p.m. in the Public Affairs Forum, KSG, 79 John F. Kennedy St., Cambridge. Members of the panel will discuss the results of the recent national election, and assess the impact of those results on the goals and concerns of the gay community: Virginia Apuzzo, executive director of the National Gay Task Force Leonard Matlovich, a board member of Concerned Republicans for Individual Rights Gil Gerard, executive director of the National Coalition of Black Gays Chris Riddiough, director of Lesbian Rights for the National Organization of Women Moderating the discussion will be Eric Rofes, chairperson of the Boston Lesbian/Gay Political Alliance and study group leader for the Institute of Politics. Ginny Apuzzo is easily one of the most articulate, sharp and politically savvy people prominent in politics, let alone the gay rights movement. Any event in which she participates is bound to be stimulating and fasccinating. Though the Forum is fairly capacious, a large crowd is anticipated, so show up early. I will summarize the discussion later this week. -- /Steve Dyer {decvax,linus,ima,ihnp4}!bbncca!sdyer sdyer@bbncca.ARPA
