[net.politics] Libertarians on the ballot

I have not had a chance to read net.politics since the election, and I've
been meaning to post this for four weeks now...

Just before the election, there was some discussion on this group about
whether the Libertarian party would be on the ballot (specifically in
Missouri, my state, since I had signed a petition to get them on, but
also generally).

I was assued by one net poster that the Libertarians would definitely be 
on the Missouri Presidential ballot.

Not so. No one listed except Fritz & Ronnie. No other party, no other
candidates of any persuasion. No mention of other choices on the punch-card
instruction booklet, nor on the printed complete ballot posted on the wall
of the polling place. 

So what happened?
