[net.politics] Comment on war in three countries.

gjk@talcott.UUCP (Greg J Kuperberg) (12/08/84)

Before I hit the "U" key in for net.politics, I would like to give a
statistic on deaths due to war in the past ten years in three countries:
El Salvador, Afghanistan, and Cambodia.

O = 10,000 deaths

1) War deaths in El Salvador in the past ten years:
OOOOO

2) War deaths in Afghanistan in the past *six* years:
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

3) War deaths in Cambodia in the past ten years (most were 1975-1978):
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Well, I guess that proves it: Reagan is the next Hitler.

I am bewildered. What wars are you talking about? Who was fighting whom?
What has Reagan to do with this?
Or are you saying that it is hardly fair to call your friend a murderer
when he has killed only five people but you know about a maniac who has
slaughtered at least a thousand?
