Probably the majority of gun deaths in England are caused neither
by the police nor ordinary citizens, but are due to Libyan diplomats.

What did they intend to accomplish by doing this? Increased trade? A
peace treaty? If it was an act of war, the military planners would object.
"A little weak on the rear flank".

In England as in America a recent concern has been lead poisoning among
children, caused by both vehicle emissions and peeling lead paint. A committee
was set up to study this and 'New Scientist' (or was it 'Punch'?) remarked
that the group included every government ministry "except the Ministry of
Defence and the Northern Ireland Office, and these two are already conferring
about the current outbreak of lead poisoning in Ulster".
