Well, now that was profound. The cost of the military aides used at the inauguration will cost over one million dollars. Think about that. The cost of the military aides would cost over one million dollars if they only swabed latrines. They get paid whether or not they go to an inaguration or swab latrines. The cost to the taxpayer is for extra police in DC. The taxpayers of DC bear the brunt of that one. The inauguration gala is a privately funded affair. To bad a lot of people lost money though, what with the bad weather. Finally, I say dummy to those who are weeping and wailing over the supposed cost of the affair because they never seem to read beyond the first paragraph of a news item. Especially in the New York Times where you have to read to the last paragraph to find out the whole story. T. C. Wheeler
