Mr. Berman stated a while back that the Soviet people are happy. Yes, they do enjoy themselves. They are happy that there are only thousands of political dissapearances, instead of millions. They are pleased that they can buy Western goods on the black market without being in mortal danger. And they thank Providence that they do not starve as they did only fifty years ago. See how thrilled these people are! I cannot help but join them in their enthusiasm. In fact I am delirious with joy. --- Greg Kuperberg harvard!talcott!gjk "No Marxist can deny that the interests of socialism are higher than the interests of the right of nations to self-determination." -Lenin, 1918

It was Thomas Watson, Chairman Emeritus of International Business Machine Corporation. Maybe you'd like to red-bait him instead? -Andy Berman --------------------------------- "...and the truth shall make you free"
