[net.politics] Mislaid Note in Reply to Baba

mck@ratex.UUCP (Daniel Kian Mc Kiernan) (04/29/85)

In 'Libertarian Arguments -- Reply to Baba', I noted that Baba had
misrepresented someone's opinion, and I denounced this misrepresentation as
an apparent (yes, folks, I did use the word 'apparently') lie. Baba pointed
out that Cliff regarded the misrepresentation as an honest mistake, and said
that rather than 'stoop' to my 'level', he would assume that I had missed
Cliff's acceptance.
However, in 'Re: Libertarian Arguments -- Reply**3 to Baba', Baba now asserts

>(In the referenced article, I caught Dan'l in yet another attempt at libel.)

It would seem that refusal to 'stoop' was a mere rhetorical flourish. In
fact, since Baba does not use a modifier like 'apparent', since unlike
Baba I have NEVER evaded an argument (or demonstrated any other forms of
dishonesty which would make an accusation of libel credible), Baba is being
FAR nastier than I've ever been.
