A horse, who was constantly harassed by some wolves, asked a man to help get rid of their common enemy. "Certainly," said the man, "just allow me to put this saddle and bridle on your and ride on your back. With your speed and strength and my intelligence and weapons, we will make short work of those nasty wolves." So the man put a saddle and bridle on the horse, and rode him, and they were soon rid of the wolves. The horse said: "Thank you for your help. Neither of us could have defeated the wolves alone. Now that they are gone, please remove the saddle and bridle and we'll go our separate ways." Said the man: "Remove the saddle and bridle? You've got to be kidding. Why would I do a silly thing like that? Giddyup!" The moral: government assistance may cost more than it appears.
