Charles says he read an article a while back that said that after WWII the US kept operation on a WAR economy. Says we are still doing it. Well Charles, I read the same article (a while back) and it said CAR economy, not WAR economy! You see after the war we dumped our military faster than you could say 'Ford'. Bring the boys home, build those TVs, etc. It was only with the Korean war that we started to up our defense spending and rearm! IN point of fact the size of the defense budget vis a vis total $ spent was LARGER in the past than it is now! Under JFK, remember him? The pinhead administrations are in the Krem where they wake us up from time to time instead of letting us sleep until it is too late. Did you celebrate the forty years of the BOMB Charles?? We did here. Parades, cake, speaches, little girls in white dresses. Keep chargin' Ken Arndt

Maybe our economy needed a war. Maybe we NEEDED to set up a defense industry. If your pre-adolescent brain can remember back that far, that's what I was proposing. >The pinhead administrations are in the Krem where they wake us up from time to >time instead of letting us sleep until it is too late.
