[net.politics] Joe Bob Goes to Johannesburg

sdd@pyuxh.UUCP (S Daniels) (08/14/85)

This here's the way I figir it. This Boot-ta dude running
things in Johannesburg read "1984" last year, and along
about page 78 or 80 he figgered he'd read enough and decided
to implement what he done learned.

See Boot-ta learned from Orwell that the only way to really
free somebody is to o-press them even more! Folks of that
persuasion like that sort of high-brow, intellectual-type
argument, anyways. Like my old buddy George Corley
used to say, "Let's show them pointy-headed, sway-do librals
what we mean!"

And old Boot-ta's doing a good job of it too.
Slapped on marshall-dillon law, told the press to get their
South-bound ends (when facing Cairo, of course) out of
town, and promised all sortsa nice reforms iffin everyone
just left him alone. Atta boy, Boot-ta!

We got 53 dead natives, gallons of blood, rock-foo,
boycott-foo, jail-foo, armored personnel carrier chase
sequences, no breasts. Drive-in award nominations for
Francis Mitterand for some good chest thumping and to
the army-dude that was too stupid to stay in the car
and got a full-length hotfoot.

Joe Bob says check it out before the revolution's over.

Just in case you folks didn't notice, this is all extremely
sarcastic and doesn't even represent my opinions, let alone
anyone elses.
