I just rummaged through some old school junk and found what the South African Embassy sent me when I inquired about their country, some time ago. What I received could only be called a mass of propaganda, including: 2 inches of large pamphlets, numerous maps, a poster, and even a full-color hard bound book on South Africa. After looking through all the materials, an observer might conclude that roughly only 1 percent of the country was black. ~ ~ ~ directly from a pamphlet ~ ~ ~ In the beginning there was Eden and perhaps Eden was here in Southern Africa and the animals grazed and drank and enacted a game--and the game was Peace. The rules were set then in time long ago--no greed, no hate, no jealousy. Now do not confuse peace with gentleness. This is not Nature's way. Each had to eat to live and some had to kill to eat and so the creatures spread where they must and each lived where he must and ate--alas--what he must; but over them all, like a blessing was Peace. From desert to lakeside through thornbush and scrub the animals roam, and so their life will be unchanging as long as we can keep it so.
