    While you're at it, let's factor in inflation (presumably triv)  AND
remember  that  FICA payments come from working people.  Presumably, the
cumulative result of all that work was to increase the value of  the  US
economy, so it is better capable of paying higher benefits.  Consider it
an investment - you does your work, you pays your ante, the  enterprise
pays off and you're taken care of in retirement.

    Naah, let's cut 'em off.
